Shanti Bhavan Summer 2026

We have just wrapped up another successful Arts Camp and Shanti Bhavan Graduation, and we wanted to take a moment to thank you for being part of such a wonderful experience.

Over the past two weeks, the Shanti Bhavan children explored creativity, shared their talents through unity and collaboration, and enjoyed self-expression through art, movement, and music. There is not a single moment during Arts Camp when I don't see these children completely engaged, happy, and excited about their craft.

It is always a joy for me to see the way they grow and evolve year after year as they discover their artistic personas through the opportunities provided in each of our majors and minors. Some of them emerge as outstanding singers or learn to appreciate the quiet magic of painting and drawing. Some boys and girls become eloquent and expressive actors, while others discover joy in dance and movement.

This year, we explored new possibilities: they experienced their first trip to a recording studio and jumped in confidently to sing and immortalize some of the choir classics. It was wonderful to watch them rediscover their own voices and challenge themselves in this new context.

Another project that they have enjoyed, and that continues to evolve throughout the years, is the multimedia piece that they create as a gift for the graduating class. Throughout the process, they worked together to paint a beautiful mural, record voice-overs, and learn how to run projections featuring artwork and content they had created themselves. The pride and excitement they felt in bringing all of these elements together were evident every step of the way.

It has been wonderful to watch the children learn, create, and grow throughout these two weeks of Arts Camp. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue providing these experiences and for the support that helps make them possible. Thank you for being part of another successful summer and for helping us bring the arts to the children of Shanti Bhavan.
