Trick-or-Streets 2025

Broadway’s Brennyn Lark performs at Trick-or-Streets

This Halloween, Broadway for Arts Education celebrated our fourth Trick-or-Streets collaboration with the NYC Department of Transportation, activating the two blocks of St. Nicholas Avenue between 116 & 118th streets.

Trick-or-Streets brought together families from across central Harlem for a fun, free, and incredibly windy way to celebrate Halloween! The event began with performances from Broadway’s Vishal Vaidya, Ali Ewoldt, Tsilala Brock, Nicole Lambert, Brennyn Lark, and Thayne Jasperson, who then transitioned from the stage to the carnival booth, helping run traditional carnvial games, minigolf, facepainting, a haunted house, circus tricks, a pumpkin patch photobooth, arts and crafts, and lots and lots of candy! Even though it was the windiest day of the year and our stations kept topping over (truly putting the horror in Halloween), our incredible team of volunteers persevered to bring Halloween magic to hundreds of kids in the neighboorhood. A huge thank you to Harlem Lane, Friends of A. Philip Randolf Square, The Horticultural Society of New York, Aardvark Amusements, and the NYC Department of Transportation for collaborating with us on this wonderful event!
