A Reflection from Samu

Samu, a 9th-grade student at Shanti Bhavan and a dedicated member of his school choir, brings energy and enthusiasm to every rehearsal and performance. Always eager to take on new opportunities, he actively seeks out chances to perform and consistently shows up with a positive attitude and a strong willingness to grow. His journey in choir has strengthened his musical abilities and helped shape his confidence and mindset.

Samu shared:
“As a music student, I learnt to sing with confidence. I have overcome stage fright by being part of a choir, especially when singing in front of a huge crowd. I learnt to blend my voice with the other three groups in the choir. I also learnt that managing a choir is not an easy thing to do, as choir leaders need to know the songs, especially songs in different languages, and handle the reactions of the choir while they are learning. Being a part of a choir taught me not to listen to what people say, as it would not help me do what I really like to do.”
