Meet the Cast
Ali Ewoldt
Ali Ewoldt made her Broadway debut in 2006 as Cosette in Les Misérables and has since appeared in The King & I at Chicago Lyric Opera, the original cast of Lincoln Center Theater’s production, and national tours of West Side Story and Les Misérables. Off-Broadway credits include The Fantasticks and Carnival! Ali was born near Chicago, raised in Pleasantville, NY, and holds a BA in Psychology from Yale University.
Julie James
Julie James is an award-winning vocalist, theatre performer, voiceover artist, and radio personality. In addition to appearing on Broadway and stages all around the world, she runs SiriusXM’s Broadway channel, connecting the globe to everything behind-the-scenes Broadway. Her interview chair has seen the likes of superstars like Nicole Scherzinger, Hugh Jackman, Idina Menzel, Kristen Chenoweth, Steven Spielberg, Sutton Foster, Lea Michele, Patti LuPone, Alan Cumming, Bernadette Peters, and even Ruth Bader Ginsburg!
Vishal Vaidya
Vishal Vaidya currently plays Jerome in the critically acclaimed revival of Merrily We Roll Along. He made his Broadway debut in Groundhog Day and has appeared in Road Show, Dave, and Einstein’s Dreams, earning a Helen Hayes nomination for A Year with Frog and Toad. Vishal also teaches masterclasses, maintains a private voice studio, performs with the American Pops Orchestra, and has sung the National Anthem for President Barack Obama.
Skie Ocasio
Skie Ocasio is a seasoned performer with credits including the Broadway National Tours of Bombay Dreams and South Pacific, regional productions like Cinderella at Paper Mill Playhouse, and Miss Saigon at North Shore Music Theatre.
Ben Houghton
Ben Houghton is a pianist and co-founder of Broadway for Arts Education. He has toured worldwide with the American Ballet Theatre, performing in venues including the Metropolitan Opera House, Carnegie Hall, Opera Bastille in Paris, and the United Arab Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
Katy Pfaffl
A Broadway performer, composer, singer-songwriter, and educator. She originated the role of “Song Woman” in War Horse on Broadway and has spent over two decades coaching emerging talent, including Tony Award winner Matt Doyle and Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu. She co-founded Broadway for Arts Education and hosts Super Swings, sharing insightful conversations with Broadway artists.
